This hair stick is topped with a natural stone bead that has earthy red lines varying from light to dark from top to bottom. The stone has been carved into a teardrop with a circle carved out of the top half. The tip of the teardrop sets in an antiqued gold double-ring spacer and a coordinating disk.
The last photo shows this large hair stick next to one of my skinny hair sticks to show the contrast in size.
The hand carved hair stick is made with oak. The top of the hair sticks measure 7mm across (at the top of the usable part, not including the pedestal). Several coats of polyurethane make it water resistant, but not water proof - it's fine to hold up your damp bun, but you don't want to wear it swimming.
Usable length of stick: 4 3/4" (12 cm) - not including the pedestal at the top of the stick
Total length, including the beaded top: 7 1/8" (18 cm)
Width of stick, under the pedestal: appox 8 mm
Wood: hand carved oak
Topper: stone bead, plated accents

INTERNATIONAL customers are responsible for paying any duties, taxes, or other fees imposed by your country’s postal authority. Purchases will not be misrepresented on customs forms, so please do not ask.
Though I make every effort to be aware of what most countries allow to be shipped in, I can not know all the requirements or all the changes. Please check with your postal authority and customs agency to assure that what you are ordering will be accepted into your country and delivered to you.
Please be aware that the projected delivery time to most countries is two weeks, but can take up to six weeks and sometimes longer. Everything from weather conditions to hang-ups in Customs can have an impact on how long it takes to receive your items. (I've had a purchase arrive in New Zealand in just 6 days!)
If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact me to see what we can work out. Your satisfaction is of the utmost importance, so returns, as long as product is in good condition, are generally accepted. I will reimburse for return shipping only if there is a problem with the item you ordered.
To make a return, please contact me within 7 days of receiving the item. The item must be received by me within 14 days of that first return email and be in resellable condition in order for the purchase price to be refunded. (Please feel free to contact me for clarification.)
Defective items are extremely rare, but things can happen. I’m happy to replace the item at my cost if the item you received is defective. A photo of the item and close up of the damaged area are required in order for me to replace a defective item. Without a photo, I cannot replace the item. Sometimes it's simply a jump ring that has pulled loose. Either way, this helps me to assure future items do not have similar problems. ツ
Although my hair sticks are strong and the pin holding the beaded toppers in place should not bend easily, I still encourage that they only be held by the stick.
The items offered by Purple Moon Designs are intended for adults and should not be given to anyone under the age of 13 to wear or play with. Some components may contain lead and should never be put in the mouth (or other part of the body).
Please use common since in regards to safety with your new accessories and jewelry. Hair sticks and hat pins were once used as weapons and can still be dangerous if not handled with care.
